Women Deliver is a broad-based initiative of committed individuals, organizations, governments, and the private sector, building on the energy, commitments, partnerships, and networks that emerged from the Women Deliver conference.
Friends of Women Deliver
Friends of the Women Deliver Initiative include a vast range of stakeholders: doctors, midwives, economists, program coordinators, public health experts, demographers, advocates, human rights lawyers, reporters, community organizers, policy analysts, UN staff and officials, corporate players, students, and mothers. By building bridges with sectors beyond maternal health—such as education, human rights, poverty reduction, and youth advocacy and empowerment—Women Deliver mobilizes a broad range of new allies behind the three pillars of maternal health (comprehensive reproductive health services, skilled care during childbirth, and emergency obstetric care) to strengthen health systems in the developing world.
